On Board Manager

Overview: This is a people orientated role for which you will be responsible for a dedicated team of Train Managers and Catering staff, who deliver the service to our customers. This role will build on our Vision for the business and ensure that it lives through our actions and our people. A key success criterion to this role is that our people are happy and engaged with what they do

Accountabilities: Key aspects of the role include:

• Leading your team to deliver a consistent level of customer service.
• Ensuring we meet all our safety responsibilities
• Development and Coaching of your team.
• Supporting people in disruption and at time of need.
• Looking at opportunities to increase revenue taken on board
• Building and maintaining strong relationships, both within the London Region and the wider business.
• Working with and developing strong relationships with Trade Union representatives.

You will be a leader in making Virgin Trains’ Vision for the business live through involvement and engagement with its people and you will deliver customer service in line with the Customer Service strategy.
